Paverpol is a fibre sculpting medium developed in Holland and has been a favourite of European and Australian sculptors, artists and dollmakers for more than a decade, and is now available in Canada. Paverpol was originally developed for making floats for parades and large outdoor sculptures but it was quickly adopted into other media.
In it's liquid form Paverpol mustbe protected from freezing. Once it has hardened, it is able to withstand rain and freezing outdoor temperatures.
Paverpol is the world's #1 product of its type, and it has the AP non-toxic safety seal from the Arts and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI)
This environmentally-friendly, water-based hardener is harmless to people, plants and animals. It is a one-step, non-toxic medium that gives crafters and artists a serious new medium with which to expand their scope of work, either indoors or outdoors.
In addition to fabrics, Paverpol can be used with paper mache, silk, metal, canvas, chamois leather, air-dry clay, styrofoam, dried botanicals, wood, baked polymer clay, plaster, concrete, pottery, stone, etc. It can be used on some synthetics, but best results are obtained with natural or porous materials.
Paverpol will adhere to almost all materials except plastic. Unlike most other hardeners, it will not deteriorate styrofoam.
Art Stone, Pavercotton, Paverplast, Stockinette, Relief Decoration, Varnishes and Wrappers are among the companion products that use Paverpol as a base to create many different effects and applications.
